The British Association of Landscape Industries (BALI) was established in 1972 to provide a voice for Landscapers and, more importantly, to raise and maintain standards throughout the industry.

Why should you use a BALI member?

Whether you have a small town garden or a country estate, you need to be assured that the Landscaper you choose to carry out the work adheres to the highest standards.

This assurance is achieved through the BALI pre-membership vetting procedure. Landscape Contractors that wish to become BALI members have to successfully pass a series of challenging tests to demonstrate that their company is operated to a significantly professional level and the quality of their work is of an extremely high level.

Only when a company has proven it can comply with BALI rules is their application accepted.

Axholme Landscapes have been BALI members since 1990 and furthermore have regularly won BALI awards for their work.

Axholme Landscapes received two major awards at the 30th anniversary BALI National Landscape Awards 2006 held in London. The Awards, which are run annually by BALI, pay tribute to landscapers who have demonstrated exceptionally high standards of professionalism and skill.

The company won the BALI Principal Award for a private garden at Barnoldby-le-Beck, near Grimsby, in the category ‘Domestic Garden Scheme’, sponsored by Yellow Pages. The garden was once a poorly drained paddock and now provides a fine private house with a relaxed setting. Judges remarked “the quality of the scheme, both design and implementation cannot be over emphasised”.

The company won a further award for a private garden in Sheffield, in the category ‘Domestic Garden Scheme’, sponsored by Brett Landscaping. This garden was originally very bland, so following the client’s brief, a very contemporary garden design was produced. Judges remarked “the work has been executed to the highest standards by Axholme Landscapes, who maintained an excellent relationship with clients throughout the project”.
